About us
Richie's Café is a café at 1802 N Warnock St in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, near the Temple SEPTA Regional Rail station. Its menu includes paninis, waffles and an espresso menu.
According to its website, the business began in 1969 as Richie's Deli and Pizza, a food truck on Temple University's campus started by Richie's father and grandfather, before securing a location on the campus spot known as "The Wall". By 2012 it had dropped the "deli and pizza" branding to focus on breakfast and coffee.
In 2019 Richie and his family opened Richie's Café in the lobby of the Kardon Atlantic apartment building. In 2021 the café moved to its own location on N Warnock St, which the website says was designed to give students a comfortable place to relax on campus. The café also sells digital gift cards.
