The Shoqata Kraja has taken the name of an Albanian ethnic region that bears the same name, in the territory of the Municipality of Tivar in Montenegro. The Kraja Association over the past 31 years is collecting mostly migrant compatriots in the United States from the region, of common interest and with the main purpose, to help their country and homeland, as well as in the communities where they live ( in New York, New Xhersi etc.) to organize humanitarian, cultural and recreational events.

The Kraja Association benefits people in many ways, including:

• Preserving and promoting Albanian culture :
• Organizes cultural events, such as dance performances, music concerts and art exhibitions.
• Supports schools and educational programs in Albanian.
• Provides resources and support to Albanian artists and cultural groups.
