From the official statistics from the Kosovo Statistics Agency on the number of the Deaf community in Kosovo published in 2013, also based on the members of the Deaf community, we believe that in Kosovo the number of Deaf people who use Sign Language there are around 9,500 Deaf people, also based on the statements of the Kosovo Statistics Authority that about 5,000 are Deaf and 4,500 people are hearing impaired.
