Overview
SHVK is the continuation of the association of the blind of Kosovo founded in 1947 and reorganized in 2003.
SHVK is a non-governmental, non-profit organization registered with the relevant institutions, which is committed to the protection, representation and affirmation of the interests and rights of blind citizens, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity and religion.
SHVK continuously commits to the full applicability of the law for the blind (04/L-092)
As a result, the integration of blind people into public life and their ability to live independently is one of the biggest challenges and the main goal of SHVK.
The development policies of SHVK also focus on the factorization of issues related to
blind people, and awareness of citizens to support them. These policies are implemented through advocacy campaigns, public debates, conferences, publications
