The Multimedia Center is a cultural organization from Pristina, Kosovo. Her main focus is contemporary theater and literature. It is considered to be one of the most interesting and provocative theater companies in Southeast Europe. The Multimedia Center was founded in 2002 by a group of young artists with the aim of creating an alternative form of art production to address political and social issues with clarity and imagination. The center produces and co-produces fresh and innovative theatrical performances and other cultural and literary activities for local and international audiences. Artistic exchanges with international partners are important for the Multimedia Center.
Since 2002, the Center has organized and facilitated over 100 artistic projects, in Kosovo but also in other countries in Europe. The Center’s community of collaborative artists/experts creates its own events and facilitates programming for others. The Center’s productions have toured more than 100 international theaters and theater festivals in Europe, the USA and Africa.
