About us

Supporting Mental Health Together!

We connect individuals to therapy, peer support, and resources—because everyone deserves access to healing and community.

Established in 2017, Noteworthy Resources of Albany, Inc. has supported individuals with mental health struggles—especially those in underserved and neurodivergent communities—by cultivating strong peer connections, promoting ADHD awareness, helping people access therapy and essential resources, and empowering them to self-advocate.

While we do not operate a dedicated physical space full-time, we strategically partner with local libraries and community organizations across the Capital Region to deliver our programs in accessible, welcoming environments that reduce barriers to participation.

Mission: We are dedicated to supporting people with mental health struggles in cultivating strong peer connections, securing essential therapy and resources, and fostering self-advocacy.

Vision: To create a world where essential mental health resources and meaningful peer support are accessible to all who need them, without exception. To make this vision a reality, we actively educate schools, workplaces, and the wider community on how to meet the social and emotional needs of people with mental health conditions.

Tatiana Benack, Founder

Tatiana is a first-generation American with Albanian and Yugoslav roots and the founder of Noteworthy Resources of Albany (NWR) — a nonprofit dedicated to connecting individuals and families to mental health support, community resources, and a true sense of belonging.

With a background in psychology, mental health training, and peer support, Tatiana has spent years developing programs that promote wellness, education, and empowerment. She founded NWR in 2017, inspired by her parents’ experiences of growing up in survival mode — where “mental health didn’t exist,” and emotional expression wasn’t a privilege they could afford. Their stories deeply shaped her mission to advocate for others, break generational cycles of silence, and create spaces for healing.

Everything Tatiana has experienced in her own life, she’s transformed into a proactive, compassionate way to help others avoid the same struggles. Growing up as an undiagnosed child with ADHD, she often heard “what’s wrong with you?” and faced academic and behavioral challenges that went misunderstood.

Now, as an adult and mother, she strives to be the person she needed back then — someone who listens, supports, and believes in the potential of every individual. After receiving her ADHD diagnosis later in life, Tatiana became especially passionate about advocating for neurodivergent women.

She has since developed programs and meet-ups that foster community, understanding, and connection for women who have long been misdiagnosed, misunderstood, or overlooked. Today, while balancing life as a stay-at-home mom and nonprofit leader, Tatiana continues to lead with empathy and purpose — inspiring connection, conversation, and change throughout the Capital Region and beyond.
