Based on the Regulation (QRK) – NO. 05/2020 for the areas of administrative responsibilities of the Office of the Prime Minister and Ministries, Appendix 5, the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers (hereinafter: MFPT), has the following responsibilities:

Prepares public policies, drafts legal acts, drafts and approves by-laws, as well as defines mandatory standards in the field of public finance management, internal control and auditing for the public sector, accounting and financial reporting standards for the private sector and public enterprises, public debt, public procurement, macroeconomic and fiscal policies and state aid, in accordance with the Constitution and legislation in force;
Implements public policies and legislation in the field of public finance management, internal control and auditing for the public sector, accounting and financial reporting standards for the private sector and public enterprises, public debt, public procurement, macro-economic and fiscal policies and state aid ;
Coordinates the management of public finances according to legal responsibilities;
It ensures the preservation of the macroeconomic stability of the Republic of Kosovo.
