Established in 2005, the Independent Media Commission (IMC) is the competent body for the regulation, management and supervision of the broadcasting frequency spectrum in the Republic of Kosovo. Article 141 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo defines the KPM as an independent body. Based on Law No. 04/L-44, the KPM licenses public and private broadcasters, defines and implements the broadcasting policy and regulates the rights, obligations and responsibilities of natural and legal persons who provide audio and audiovisual media services.
