Jeta e Re

New Life, founded by Esad Mekuli, has been published since 1949 and is the literary magazine with the longest tradition in Kosovo. From 1950, New Life becomes a bimonthly magazine, with 6 issues a year, while in 1989, on the occasion of On its 40th anniversary, at the insistence of Bedri Hysa, who was the secretary for culture of Kosovo at the time, 12 issues were published a year, while during the 90s, hindered by the Serbian regime, the magazine slowed down the publication tempo, but did not stop until in 2006, when, due to the lack of financial means, only a double number is published.
