National Institute of Public Health
It was formed on June 5, 1925;
It is the highest health, professional and scientific institution of Kosovo;
It is a Health Institution that prepares and implements the public health strategy (hygienic-sanitary measures, prophylactic-counter-epidemic, social-medical measures, health promotion, health education and education, control of the quality of water, air, food, PZI (the expanded program of immunization), health policy and health economics, health information) throughout the territory of Kosovo.
The institute develops research-scientific work and organizes the professional improvement of health workers.
It is the educational base of the Faculty of Medicine;
There are 5 Departments:
1. Epidemiology
2. Human Ecology
3. Social Medicine
4. Microbiology and
5. Health Information System;
6. Kosovar School of Public Health
