Overview
The foundations for the establishment of technical studies, including those of machinery, were laid with the opening of the Higher Technical School in Pristina, on October 20, 1961. This school had three departments: Machinery, Electrotechnics and Construction.
On 28.09.1988, the Technical Faculty was transformed for the second time in its history, in which case it was divided into three independent faculties: the Faculty of Machinery, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Construction and Architecture.
The current name of the Faculty of Machinery is the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
