Founded on March 14, 1994,  during the difficult times for books and culture in these parts, with the initiative of a group of creators and intellectuals and with the unreserved support of the then Graphic Book Publishing Company, the “Dukagjini” Publishing House for a short time was promoted in one of the largest publishing houses not only in Kosovo and among Albanians, but also beyond. Her name is associated with bold publishing ideas and enterprises, which were presented at inaugurations, fairs and other book events in Pristina, Tirana, Skopje, Tetovo, Frankfurt, Geneva, Paris, etc. In support of its activities, the International Bookstore was opened in Pristina, the first of its kind in post-war Kosovo.

Starting with the series “Fryma” (human knowledge) and “Rozafa” (literature) and later with “Special editions” and “Dukagini Balkan Books” (in foreign languages), a few years after the war, “Dukagini” gathered around him the most famous authors of school texts, to become today the leader of the reformed primary and secondary education publications.

“Dukagjini” created the first website among Albanian publishers. He has received many recognitions and important awards; its authors were published in several world languages, while in the columns of its own publications, outstanding for professional preparation and modern designs, in addition to the Albanian language, it also published books in English, German and French.
